Game Rules

What is allowed and forbidden in Xterium. Required reading for all players.

Last updated: 2026-05-21 Binding for all players

The following rules are mandatory on the Xterium project

Violations of the Game Rules and/or the User Agreement are punished with the corresponding in-game penalties. If you do not understand any of the rules, or your account has been blocked, contact support for clarification by writing to: support@xterium.com.

All matters concerning a User's account are settled with its owner only.

1. Account ownership.

The owner of an account is the owner of the permanent e-mail address given at registration. An account may be operated by one player only.

  1. Transferring or selling an account for permanent use is prohibited.
  2. Sitting on another player's account is allowed with the account owner's permission.
  3. While sitting on an account:
    1. Moving the fleet out of an incoming attack, saving the fleet and resources is allowed
    2. Any other fleet movement (attack, expedition) is prohibited
    3. Spending resources is prohibited
  4. You may sit on only one account once every 3 (three) days. While sitting on an account a player may visit it no more than 3 times within 24 hours. Sitting on any other account is allowed only after 3 days.

2. Multiple accounts.

  1. Registering more than one account in the same universe by a single User is prohibited and is punished by blocking all of the accounts. The penalty applies to every player regardless of their in-game progress. A player holding more than one account, but in different universes, is not in breach of this rule.
  2. Battles between accounts that have logged in from the same IP address within the last 14 days are prohibited.
  3. Users playing from the same computer must notify the project administration by writing a message to technical support. Accounts used from the same computer that the administration has not been notified about will be blocked. Players playing from the same computer are not allowed to:
    1. take part in any coordinated actions against other players;
    2. provide any assistance with resources;
    3. be logged in to more than one account at the same time;
    4. send any missions to each other.
  4. Indirect multi-accounting is any interaction between your account and another account you have access to (while its owner is unaware of those interactions). Such interactions include: attacks aimed at stealing resources; irrecoverable transport of debris; resource manipulation – moving resources in any form to the main account without return.

3. Deliberate pushing at the expense of another account.

Pushing is any interaction between two players aimed at improving the in-game position of one of them at the expense of the other, when both players are aware of it and deliberately contribute to it. Such interactions include:

  1. Attacks aimed at stealing resources.
  2. Attacks with a small fleet sent so that it is destroyed.
  3. Trading any in-game resources for real money, as well as messages offering to buy and/or sell them, are prohibited and are punished by loss of access to the game.
  4. Resource manipulation – transferring resources from a lower-ranked player to a higher-ranked one.
  5. Inflating statistics – attacking a player by prior arrangement in order to collect daily achievement rewards or to inflate the number of wins in the statistics.

4. Sending the fleet.

4.1 Sending the fleet on any mission to another player's planet for more than 5 hours one way without that player's consent is prohibited.

4.2 Sending the fleet to another player's planet for the sole purpose of annoying that player is prohibited. An attack with no strategic justification is prohibited. An attack that is not an attempt to destroy a fleet or to gain another strategic in-game advantage is prohibited.

5. Use of undocumented features and software bugs of the Game.

Undocumented features are functions of the Game that are not described in, or do not match, the developer's documentation and whose use may breach the confidentiality, availability or integrity of the processed information.

  1. Any use of undocumented features and software bugs of the Game is prohibited.
  2. Using software bugs for personal gain is prohibited.
  3. Using software bugs that harm the game or other Users is prohibited.
  4.  Spreading information about software bugs to other Users through in-game channels (chat, forum, private messages) is prohibited

Note: if a critical bug is found and reported to the Administration immediately, a reward in game bonuses is granted.

6. Scripting.

  1. Unauthorised interference with the server and/or the game code is prohibited. Authorised interference means game plug-ins/add-ons approved (registered or licensed) by the Administration, installed on the User's browser side and modifying appearance, information, actions and so on without interfering with the internal processes of the game.
  2. Creating and running a bot or any other automated (semi-automated) program not authorised by the Administration in order to perform any actions directed at the User's account or other accounts, to push and/or enrich one's own account, as well as actions directed at the game chat, is prohibited.

7. Hacking.

Gaining access to third-party account(s), transferring in-game valuables from third-party account(s), and assisting such transfers is prohibited. If in-game property is lost through guessing and stealing the account password (or the e-mail address the account is registered to), or through deceiving (or abusing the trust of) the account owner, the stolen property is not returned.

8. Trading accounts.

Transferring account(s) and/or access to them to other persons, whether for payment or free of charge, as well as spreading information about the intention to do so, is prohibited.

9. In-game resources.

  1. Trading (buying and/or selling) in-game items and resources for real money, as well as advertising such trade, is prohibited. Any commercial advertising is prohibited. Any fraudulent acts or attempts directly or indirectly connected with in-game items or resources are prohibited.
  2. Selling or exchanging in-game resources between players bypassing the official in-game trader (exchange) is prohibited. Advertising and collusion aimed at subsequently transferring one resource in exchange for another is prohibited.

10. Communication

When communicating  through private messages or chat, the following is prohibited:

  1. flooding, off-topic, caps, trolling, obstructing a discussion;
  2. provoking or encouraging others to break the Game rules;
  3. attempts to defraud, deceive or mislead other Users;
  4. insulting other Users without the use of obscene language, as well as provoking insults or swearing;
  5. using and quoting obscene language and veiled expressions if they carry a double meaning and may be regarded as vulgar or indecent (for example, replacing letters in words with special characters or abbreviating obscene phrases);
  6. open or veiled advertising of other internet resources or goods;
  7. threats of violence in real life, as well as threats to cause any kind of damage;
  8. extortion or begging in any possible form;
  9. attempts to impersonate a representative of the Game Administration, as well as any other attempts to gain access to third-party accounts.
  10. repeated statements aimed at damaging the game's reputation.
  11. slander and/or insults directed at the administration or the administration team (GM, Operators)

11. Other conditions.

For these and other breaches of the game rules, a User may immediately, without any prior notice, be denied the functionality of the Game, or such functionality may be partially restricted.
The Administration reserves the right to change the penalty for breaching these clauses at its own discretion, depending on the severity of the offence.
