Endless Distances
In brief: Peaceful deep-space exploration—no direct combat. Send your fleet into deep space to find resources, dark matter, ready-to-use ships, and rare stellar ore. The larger your fleet, the greater your discoveries.
How It Works
Each flight consists of several events. During a flight, you receive a series of finds: in each event, the fleet finds one thing—resources, dark matter, a ready-made fleet, or stardust. The size of each discovery depends on the points of the fleet you sent: the larger the fleet, the more it brings back. The “Astrophysics” research unlocks the Endless Expanse; its level increases both the number of events per flight and the size of the fleet you can send.
What You Can Find
Resources
Metal, crystal, and deuterium are the most common finds. They arrive directly at the launch planet.
Dark Matter
A valuable premium currency for upgrading anomalies, senators and research. Your chance to find it is raised by research and “Dark Matter Search” accelerators.
Fleet
Ready ships — land on the launch planet. The "Fleet Search" boosters increase the chance of success.
Stellar Ore
A rare resource. You'll need a large fleet: at least 100 fleet points per event, otherwise you won't be able to find the ore.
There is also a risk: part of the fleet could be lost in deep space. Up to level 15 and with the "Fleet Protection" booster, there are no losses.
What Factors Affect the Odds?
The most common find is resources (base option). Research and accelerators increase your chances of finding dark matter, a fleet, or stardust. There’s also a separate expedition setting: you set the priority yourself—what to “focus” the flight on (fleet, dark matter, or stardust). The higher the priority of a particular category, the more often it appears, but the risk of losing your fleet also increases slightly.
What Enhances the Infinite Distances
The foundation is laid by the “Astrophysics” research, and subsequent discoveries are enhanced by premium accelerators:
A separate premium booster (purchased with antimatter for a specific duration) increases both the expedition rewards and the size and number of groups per flight—in addition to the exploration bonuses. Alliance skills also add groups. Therefore, the total bonus to finds can significantly exceed +150%. All Accelerators.
Finds Calculator
Select the exploration levels—the calculator will show how many groups depart per flight, the size of each group, the approximate flight time, the reward, and the chances of finding items. All formulas are taken from the game's code.
Award for a single flight (maximum per aircraft type)
Chances of a find per event
The odds are shown as an approximate real-world probability for an event (in the game, these events occur significantly more often than the base research figures suggest). Resources are the main reward when nothing else drops. Dark matter drops slightly in large groups, while starlore ore drops individually (you’ll need at least 100 fleet points per group). Exact numbers depend on accelerators, settings, and luck.
