The Arsenal is a system for strengthening your fleet and defenses: you upgrade your weapons and ships using parts and cores obtained during expeditions. A fully upgraded Arsenal significantly boosts your power—but upgrades might not work, so it’s important to upgrade safely. Here’s how.

Where did this guide come from? Methods for obtaining parts, cores, and stabilizers, how to use cores, and prices for additional upgrade slots were described by the player community on the game wiki and this forum thread (in the “Arsenal” section, authors: Storm22073, Shataev, Kara, and others). The mechanics and materials have been verified against the game code.

Step 1. Understand what upgrades are

In the [Arsenal] section of *](/knowledge/encyclopedia/arsenal), weapons and ships have “upgrades”—enhancements that improve their stats. To upgrade them, you need materials from expeditions: parts, cores, and stabilizers. There are a total of 44 upgrades in the arsenal, grouped by Hostile sectors, where their parts drop.

Step 2. Collect parts in Hostail

Parts are the main resource for upgrades. They drop in the [](/knowledge/encyclopedia/expedition) expedition sectors: the Barbarians, Pirates, and Devastators each have their own parts (Control Module, Distributor, Reactor). The stronger the sector, the more valuable the component. Farm the sector whose upgrades you want to level up.

Step 3. Use the cores from the bosses

[](/knowledge/encyclopedia/resources) Class I, II, and III Cores drop from bosses in the Hostail sectors. Their purpose is to make upgrades safer (by reducing the risk of failure). The higher the core’s class, the more valuable it is. Save the cores for important, expensive upgrades.

Step 4. Stabilizers—the safest upgrade

A Stabilizer is the safest material to use for upgrades. What makes it special is that Stabilizers are obtained by dismantling failed upgrades—meaning even a failure can be beneficial. Use Stabilizers when a failed upgrade is particularly costly.

Step 5. Download gradually and save the materials

Don't try to upgrade everything at once: upgrades get more expensive, and resources are limited. Start by upgrading the units you actually use in battle and for farming. Keep a stockpile of cores and stabilizers for safe upgrades, and don’t spend everything on the first upgrade you come across.

Common Mistakes

  • Upgrade without a core or stabilizer. The upgrade may not work—without protective materials, you risk wasting parts.
  • Deployment. It's inefficient to level up all 44 upgrades little by little—focus on combat units.
  • Ignore the expedition. No Hostail pharma means no parts or cores. The arsenal can only be expanded through the [](/knowledge/guides/kak-farmit-ekspeditsiyu) expedition.
  • Don't waste cores on trivial tasks. Save your high-tier cores for expensive upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get parts for upgrades? Components drop in expedition sectors—the Barbarians, Pirates, and Ravagers each have their own components (Control Module, Distributor, Reactor). The stronger the sector, the more valuable the component.

Why do we need kernels? Class I, II, and III cores drop from bosses in the Hostail sectors and make upgrades safer—they reduce the risk of failure. Save them for expensive upgrades.

How does a stabilizer differ from a kernel? A Stabilizer is the material needed for the safest upgrade. It is obtained by dismantling failed upgrades—so even a failure has its benefits.

How many upgrades are there in total? There are 44 upgrades in total, grouped by Hostile sectors. Leveling them all up a little at a time isn't very effective—focus on combat units.

Check out the guide “How to Farm Expeditions” (source of parts and cores), the [Arsenal] section](/knowledge/encyclopedia/arsenal) with all the upgrades, and the [glossary]](/knowledge/glossary) if you come across an unfamiliar term.
