Containers (boxes) are items from the warehouse that you open to receive a random reward: resources, fleet units, parts, or artifacts. There are seven containers in total in the game. Below is a breakdown of how they work and what’s inside each one. All data is taken from the game’s code.
Source of the data. The names, contents, and drop mechanics are taken directly from the game engine (the War of Alliances universe). The cards for each container can be found in the Containers section of the encyclopedia.
How Containers Work
- They're sitting in the warehouse and piling up. The containers you receive are kept in stock; you can keep a few on hand.
- Opening a container uses up one container. Once opened, one is deducted. If none are available, it cannot be opened.
- Containers do not have inventory levels. They are either in stock or out of stock.
- Up to 5 different rewards per opening. You can't get more than five at a time.
- Drops are random and occur in "runs." Each container has several "runs"—the game rolls a chance for each one, and if it succeeds, a reward group is unlocked. The rarer the group, the more valuable it is and the better the potential rewards.
What Types of Containers Are There?
The seven containers are divided into three types: “Arsenal” (purchased), mission-based, and special.
| Container | What's Inside | Where to get |
|---|---|---|
| The Varvarov Container | Details and drawings of the Varvarov sector, a unique award—the Class I Shell | Purchase with Dark Matter |
| The Pirates' Container | Details and blueprints for the Pirates sector, plus a unique reward—the Class II Core | Purchase with Dark Matter |
| The Ravagers' Container | Parts and blueprints for the Ravagers sector, plus a unique reward—a Class III Core | Purchase with Star Ore |
| Small container | A small amount of each resource + a heavy fleet (Hunter/Cerberus/Titan) | For daily missions |
| Medium container | All resources are in moderate quantities + the fleet; in the rare group—Stellar Ore | For weekly missions and tournaments |
| Large container | Plenty of all resources + Star Ore, Antimatter, Mods, Cores | For monthly missions |
| Secret Container | All resources and the fleets of all three classes (light, medium, heavy) | For viewing ads after the expedition |
In the game, the Barbarians, Pirates, and Ravagers containers are grouped under “Arsenal”—they provide parts and blueprints for upgrading Arsenal.
New User Bonus
As long as you've opened fewer than 10 containers, the Secret Container is guaranteed to contain at least 1 Antimatter—it's a safety net for beginners to ensure that your first few openings are definitely worthwhile.
