Artifacts are one-time-use items that are stored in your account’s inventory and consumed when used. Each artifact provides a specific effect: creating a moon at no cost, getting a larger planet when colonizing, deploying a shield, speeding up the purchase of antimatter, and so on. Below is an explanation of how they work and what each one does. All numbers are taken directly from the game’s code.
Source of the data. The names and effects are taken directly from the game engine (the War of Alliances universe). Individual cards for each artifact can be found in the Artifacts section of the encyclopedia.
How Artifacts Work
The main rule: Artifacts are consumable. Each artifact has a certain number of units in stock, and one unit is consumed each time it is used.
- One-time use, not permanent. Once you use it, you're down one. This isn't a "permanent" passive bonus—it's a one-time effect.
- They're stockpiled. You can keep multiple identical artifacts—the quantity simply adds up in your inventory.
- No levels. Artifacts don't have upgrades or levels: they're either in stock or they're not.
What kinds of artifacts are there?
There are nine artifacts in the game. Here's what each one does:
| Artifact | What does |
|---|---|
| Create a Moon for Free | Allows you to create a moon at no cost. |
| A Large Planet During Colonization | When colonized, it yields a planet with an increased number of fields. |
| A Comprehensive Study of the Anomaly | It instantly levels up the anomaly to the maximum without requiring any Star Ore. |
| Imperial Shield | Grants the player an Imperial protective shield (once the previous one has expired). |
| +100% Bonus on Antimatter Purchases | Doubles the bonus when purchasing antimatter. |
| +30% bonus to "Expedition" boosters | Adds +30% to the duration of the "Expedition" class flexible accelerator. |
| +30% bonus to "Loot" boosters | Adds +30% duration to the "Loot" class flexible booster. |
In addition, the game features the "Planetary Shield" and "Planet Teleportation" artifacts—check their exact stats directly in the game and in the encyclopedia at.
How to Obtain Artifacts
Artifacts are added to inventory from several sources:
- Special Offers (Deals Store) — Some sets contain artifacts.
- Rewards for quests and missions—some of the rewards are artifacts.
The artifacts you've obtained are stored in the warehouse until you use them.
How to Use
The artifact activates at the appropriate point in the game: “Free Moon Creation” — on the planet page when creating a moon, “Large Planet” — during colonization, “Imperial Shield” — in orbit, and bonuses to boosters — when purchasing the corresponding booster. In each case, one item is consumed from your inventory.
