Contracts in Xterium are missions that offer rewards. You accept a contract and complete its objective within the allotted time: deal damage in combat, go on an expedition, gather resources, defeat bosses in the “Hostile” sector, and more. Completing contracts rewards you with resources, dark matter, fleet units, and points.

Contracts come in three durations—short (about 30 minutes), standard (about 60 minutes), and long (about 90 minutes), as well as varying levels of difficulty (the more difficult the contract, the less time you have, but the greater the reward).

The contracts here are grouped by target sector: Expedition & Ruins (flights and gathering in the Endless Expanse and Ruins), Barbarians, Pirates, and Devastators & War (combat, war points, and PvP). Contract difficulty is shown with stars (1–3). Tap a card to see the contract objective.

Contracts are tasks you take on and complete for a reward. Any contract grants points and a random prize — resources, fleet, dark matter, or a bonus. The same contract comes in three lengths: quick (1★), normal (2★) and long (3★) — the longer it is, the bigger the goal and reward.

What rewards you get

For every completed contract you always receive points and experience, plus two random prizes from one group. What exactly drops is up to chance, but the odds are known:

Contract pointsalways · grow with star Experience15 × contract star
+ 2 random prizes. First one reward group is chosen at random (all groups are equally likely, but resources appear in most groups — hence 67%), then two prizes drop from the chosen group. Within "Fleet" and "Defense" all three rewards drop roughly equally.

×2.0×2.5×3.0 The reward multiplier depends on contract difficulty: the harder it is, the more points (combat contracts ×2.0 → ×2.5 → ×3.0; other contracts have their own multipliers).
Special "parts" contracts — 15% of all contracts

About one in seven contracts gives fleet upgrade parts from the Arsenal instead of resources, fleet and defense. Here is what such a reward can contain:

Star ore is the rarest prize among resources.

Questions and answers

How many contracts are there in Xterium in total?
The game has 34 contracts. They are split into 4 groups: Expedition and Ruins — 14, Barbarians — 4, Pirates — 3, Devastators and War — 13.
What are contracts in Xterium?
These are reward tasks: you take a contract and complete its goal within the allotted time — combat damage, expedition launches, resource production, boss victories and more. Completing them gives resources, dark matter, fleet and points.
What contracts are there by time?
Three kinds: fast (about 30 minutes), normal (about 60 minutes) and long (about 90 minutes of game time). Contracts also differ in difficulty.
What topics do contracts cover?
Combat and war, expedition, ruins, bosses of the “Hostile” sector (Barbarians, Pirates, Devastators) and special ones (recycling, moon destruction, training and others).
How does contract difficulty affect the reward?
The higher the difficulty, the smaller the buffer of extra time to complete it, but the greater the reward. Easy contracts have a large time buffer.
