Power Points are points you earn as you play and can freely invest in fleet technologies. A technology provides a permanent boost: the more points you invest in it, the greater its bonus. The percentage isn’t predetermined—you decide for yourself how many points to invest and in which technology.

All equipped bonuses contribute to the overall “Strength” stat—a measure of your fleet’s combat power. Different technologies have different “weights”: for example, attack provides more Strength per unit than shields. Therefore, you should allocate your points wisely, based on your playstyle. Below is a calculator: enter your values, and it will calculate your total Power.

The technologies are grouped as follows: attack and weapons (attack, laser, ion, plasma, and gravitational gun damage, accuracy, additional attacks), armor and shields (armor and shields for all classes, their regeneration, evasion, and additional shields), as well as bonuses that apply only to offense or only to defense.

Enter your level for each technology — you'll see how much battle Power it gives and the total above. Yield is the return per level: techs marked “top yield” give far more Power for the same level. Formula: value × weight.

Questions and answers

How many technologies are there in Xterium in total?
The game has 29 technologies. They are split into 4 groups: Attacks and Weapons — 8, Armor and Shields — 15, Offensive Bonuses — 3, Defensive Bonuses — 3.
What are power points in Xterium?
These are points you earn as you play and freely invest into fleet technologies — permanent buffs (attack, armor, shields, accuracy and others). The more points invested into a technology, the higher its bonus.
What percentage does a single technology give?
The percentage is not fixed — you decide for yourself how many points to invest in a technology: the more you invest, the higher the bonus. So the exact value depends on your point distribution, not on a preset figure.
What is “Power” and how is it calculated?
Power is the overall rating of the fleet's combat strength. Each technology gives Power by the formula “your value × technology weight”, and they all add up. This page has a calculator: enter your values — it will compute the total Power. Different technologies weigh differently: for example, attack gives more Power per unit than shields.
Where is it more worthwhile to invest power points?
It depends on your play style: for attacking, attack and weapon damage matter more; for defense — armor and shields. There are also separate technologies that work only in attack or only in defense.
What is the difference between bonuses “in attack” and “in defense”?
Attack bonuses (attack, armor, shields) apply when you attack someone else's target, and defense bonuses apply when you defend against an attack. They can be leveled up separately.
