An alliance is a team-based game in Xterium. You can grow on your own, but wars, defense, and major objectives rely on the alliance. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about alliances: why join one, what kinds of factions there are, who the senators are, and how to fight together.

Why Join an Alliance?

An alliance provides protection, joint battles, and access to faction bonuses. For a new player, an alliance is more important than any building: allies will cover your fleet and offer advice. To learn how to join and what to do, check out the guide “How to Fight in an Alliance”].

Alliance Factions

Alliances have factions—the Grabtors, the Seters, the Talkors, and others—each with its own focus and bonuses. A complete list of their effects can be found in the Alliances] section of the encyclopedia.

Senators — Alliance Advisors

[](/knowledge/encyclopedia/senators) Senators are hired advisors who provide permanent bonuses (resource production, fleet, science). Find out who to level up first and why in the guide “Senate: Who to Level Up”].

War in the Alliance (ACS)

Cooperative Attacks (ACS) — the core of Xterium: multiple players strike a single target in a single attack. For details on how this works, what war points are, and the war factions, see the guide “How to Fight in an Alliance”].

Points and the Strength of the Alliance

An alliance's strength is determined by the players' points. For information on where points come from (buildings, fleet, science, weapons), see the “Strength Points and Rating” section. Abbreviations such as ACS can be found in the glossary.

Where to Start with Teamwork

If alliance wars are what you're here for, start by checking out the “Alliance Strategy” guide. For active alliances, finding an alliance, and questions from new players, visit the forum at.
